More about Wendy

Recently retired from Henderson County Public Schools where she was the Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, Wendy was recognized in 2020 as the North Carolina Career and Technical Administrator of the Year. Previously, she worked for the NC Department of Public Instruction as a regional coordinator who provided academic and fiscal support to district leaders and facilitated the NC Administrative Internship program where new CTE Directors received support as they acclimated into their new roles.

Wendy has also successfully written, received and administered millions of dollars in grant funds that included innovations in workforce development as well as learning recovery/acceleration strategies. In addition to her work in K-12 education, she has served as adjunct professor to multiple colleges/universities and has chaired doctoral dissertation committees for students pursuing their Ed.D.

Wendy believes in the power of relationships and mentorship to educators as they serve students and continue their professional growth.
